One Braintree Civic Association is a grassroots organization that prioritizes representing the interests and needs of our diverse community, while also promoting thoughtful dialogue and inclusive decision-making processes around enhancing our local economy and commercial areas, strategic growth and smart development. By engaging with residents, local businesses, and government entities, we aim to advocate for growth initiatives that prioritize long-term financial stability, and the preservation of our community's unique character. Through education and collaboration, we seek to create a thriving and resilient Braintree where everyone can flourish.

One Braintree Civic Association (OBCA) is deeply committed to fostering strong connections and positive dialogue within the Braintree community. Through a multifaceted approach, we aim to engage residents, inform, educate, provide a platform for diverse ideas and perspectives, and encourage active participation in shaping the future of our town.

Approach and Initiatives

Through these initiatives, One Braintree Civic Association aims to build a stronger, more connected community where every resident feels valued, empowered, and engaged in creating positive change.

Local Meet and Greets:

  •    OBCA will organize regular local meet and greet events held in various neighborhoods across Braintree.

  •    These events will serve as informal gatherings where residents can come together to meet their neighbors, share concerns, and discuss ideas for improving the community.

  •    By hosting these gatherings in different parts of town, OBCA ensures inclusivity and representation from all districts and neighborhoods.

Liaising with Town Councilors, Town Hall and our Elected Officials:

  • OBCA will establish open lines of communication with Braintree's Town Councilors and Town Hall officials.

  •    Regular meetings and updates will be facilitated to discuss community concerns, initiatives, and policy matters.

  •    OBCA will advocate for the interests and needs of residents at town meetings and hearings, ensuring that community voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes. This in turn, will help our Councilors know the needs and perspectives of the constituents in their districts.

Engagement with Local Businesses:

  •    OBCA recognizes the vital role that local businesses play in the economic and social fabric of Braintree.

  •    Through networking events, partnerships, and collaborative projects, OBCA will work to build strong relationships with local businesses.

  •    OBCA will advocate for policies and initiatives that support a thriving local economy, fostering a symbiotic relationship between businesses and the community.

Collaboration with Town Organizations:

  •    OBCA will identify and collaborate with other town organizations and stakeholders to address community needs and initiatives.

  •    By coordinating joint events, sharing resources, and leveraging expertise, OBCA aims to maximize impact and effectiveness in serving the community.

Information and Education for Residents:

  •    OBCA will provide residents with educational and informational materials, online and in print, on local issues, policies, and resources.

  •    Digital platforms, newsletters, and social media will be utilized to disseminate important information and updates to residents.

  •    OBCA seeks to empower residents with knowledge and resources to actively participate in community affairs and decision-making processes.

Providing a Platform for Ideas and Perspectives:

  •    OBCA will host town hall meetings, forums, and online discussion platforms where residents can share ideas, concerns, and perspectives.

  •    Diversity of thought and respectful dialogue will be encouraged, fostering a sense of inclusion and collaboration within the community.
